Cabinet of Curiosities Series

This series of exhibits, titled Cabinet of Curiosities, is a homage to the enthusiastic collecting spirit of T. T. Wentworth, Jr., whom the museum is named after. People throughout the local area who have a particular extensive and special collection may have the opportunity to share it with the public. For more information, contact Gale Messerschmidt at (850) 595-5985 Ext. 111 or e-mail gmesserschmidt@uwf.edu. The current exhibit in the Wentworth Cabinet of Curiosities series is a salt and pepper shaker collection from Mrs. Ruth Paige of Century, Fla. Her collection of salt and pepper shakers numbers more than 800 pairs.

Diminutive Dwellings: A World in Scale Exhibit

This charming new exhibit traces the history of dollhouses and their popularity throughout history. It will also showcase the gift of 42 dollhouses given to West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc. by Jane Forney. Ten of the houses from the collection will be on display at this time; other houses will be rotated into the display at the beginning of the summer.
