New Exhibits at the T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum!

"Going Down Hill Fast, Derby Days in Pensacola":

Artifacts and exhibits highlight the Cubmobile Derby, Soap Box Derby and the Pinewood Derby, while exploring the fast-paced history of derby car racing in Pensacola. The larger Cubmobile and Soap Box Cars, the smaller hand-crafted Pinewood Cars, as well as a derby car track are on display.

COMING SOON:

"Cabinet of Curiosities" A new addition to this exhibit series will shortly opening featuring a facsinating collection of Native American historical artifacts from the early 20th century. This exhibit series celebrates the spirit of T. T. Wentworth, Jr. and his love of collecting and history. This upcoming exhibit was provided by a local community member. Exhibit should open February 1st. For further information, please contact Gale Messerschmidt.

The Discovery Gallery: La Florida de Pensacola

Information:

The Discovery Gallery is a hands-on children's exhibit created for children 4-8 years of age. We ask that all Discovery visitors sign in at the front desk. The Discovery Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am to 3:34 pm. Please note that the Discovery Gallery is closed for private groups according to the following schedule listed below.

Reserving the Discovery Gallery:

We accept tour reservations for schools, educational groups, play groups, or birthday parties. Please contact Jim McMillen at (850) 595-5985 x112, or email him for futher information.

COST: $3.00 per child or a $30 flat fee for groups of less then 10 children. Group reservations are for 1 hour. Groups may extend their visit for $20 per additional hour. Please note that we have no facilities for refreshments; food and drink are not allowed in the museum.

The Discovery Gallery is closed for the following dates and times. Visitors should know that this schedule may change and is updated daily at the beginning of the business day. Times are approximate and we appreciate visitor patience as groups are occasionally late.
